BNP Paribas, a major European banking and financial services group, needed faster, more consistent and lower‑cost production of real‑time customer correspondence. Staff were relying on a transactional mail application and Microsoft Word, which led to branding inconsistencies, manual errors and costly localized printing—so the bank launched the Procope project to find a single platform that would meet user needs and reduce costs.

The bank implemented Cincom Eloquence, a web‑based document composition engine integrated with BNP systems, giving business users control of standardized templates, automated data population and centralized printing. The rollout cut templates from 1,300 to 650, reduced cost per mail from €0.60 to €0.40 (33%), delivered recurring annual savings of over €1M, supports 250,000 documents per month for 30,000 users, and achieved ROI in under 18 months while improving brand consistency and productivity.
