The State of Oklahoma’s Office of Management and Enterprise Services (OMES) needed a new IT service management platform to support roughly 15,000 government employees after its legacy tool proved slow to update, lacked reporting, had no change-management workflow or CMDB, couldn’t correlate assets to incidents, and would not integrate with PC management, discovery/inventory, or network tools.
OMES selected Cherwell Service Management for its reporting, easy configuration, and API integrations. Cherwell dashboards feed an Information Technology Operations Command Center and give leaders real-time views of priority and aged cases, assignments, and team metrics. Within two weeks they saw more than 600 survey responses (now about 1,200 monthly), staff act on feedback daily, and the platform helped drive better decisions and a large IT consolidation that delivered roughly $100M in savings.
