Rijksvastgoedbedrijf improves real estate visibility and cuts energy waste with CGI
The Rijksvastgoedbedrijf (RVB), the Netherlands' central government real estate agency, faced a challenge in obtaining sufficient oversight of its extensive property portfolio, as identified by a National Audit Office report. This lack of data prevented optimal management, hindered cost-saving opportunities, and made it difficult to meet sustainability objectives. To address this, RVB partnered with CGI.
CGI developed and implemented a new core business system called ENF, based on the Oracle eBS-platform and Oracle Business Intelligence tools. The solution included the ARiE dashboard, which provided RVB with a complete overview of its real estate stock, including building characteristics and energy consumption. This enabled RVB to plan ahead, increase site utilization, and realize cost savings. CGI's system provided the business intelligence necessary for optimal management of buildings and properties.
