National Crime Agency automates intelligence sharing 79% faster with CGI

The UK National Crime Agency (NCA) faced a resource-intensive challenge in processing a high volume of INTERPOL circulations and alerts following Brexit, which diverted officers from critical intelligence work. To address this, the NCA partnered with CGI to implement an Intelligent Automation (IA) solution to handle these repetitive, rules-based processes.

CGI's IA solution automated key workflows, including downloading INTERPOL data and updating police systems. This implementation processed over 110,000 workflows, saving over 41,000 hours of manual work and the equivalent of 26 full-time officers. The results for the NCA included a 79% faster process, more accurate data, and the ability to reassign staff to higher-value intelligence tasks.
