Carrefour, a major global retail corporation, faced intense competition and a hierarchical management style that limited employee autonomy. To address this, they partnered with the Center for Creative Leadership (CCL) to create the U-Leader program, based on CCL's Better Conversations Every Day™ framework, to train their leaders in essential coaching skills.

The Center for Creative Leadership implemented a customized 4.5-day program that included assessments, skills training, and follow-up coaching. This solution equipped Carrefour's managers to listen, ask powerful questions, and provide better feedback. The results included highly motivated employees, lower turnover, a stronger leadership pipeline, and a new culture of bidirectional feedback that accelerated company innovation. Participants highly rated the program, with facilitators' knowledge scoring 3.9 out of 4.
