Zip, a global buy now, pay later company, needed a better way to unify customer data across marketing, product, and purchase signals so it could deliver consistent, targeted experiences. The team also wanted more granular audience segmentation for merchant offers and a way to use Braze audiences in the Zip app. To solve this, Zip evaluated data solutions including Census for data activation alongside its broader data stack.

Zip implemented a centralized stack with Snowflake, dbt, Snowplow, and Census-style data activation to unify data and power audience building. With self-service activation, the growth team could create and sync audiences across Braze and other marketing tools without engineering help, while keeping data fresh and governed. The result was faster campaign execution, more precise targeting, and consistent personalized experiences across channels, with more than 4 million Braze records refreshed in under three hours.
