How UpKeep reduced customer churn with reverse ETL

UpKeep, an asset operations management SaaS that helps maintenance and operations teams log issues and manage preventative maintenance, faced the challenge of lacking real-time product usage insights to drive proactive customer success and reduce churn. To address this, UpKeep implemented Census’s reverse ETL solution to sync usage data from sources like Google BigQuery, Postgres and Google Sheets into destinations such as Salesforce and Intercom.

Using Census, UpKeep created account health scores and synced near-real-time product usage into its customer 360 so Customer Success could prioritize outreach, identify upsell segments, and run targeted campaigns. The Census implementation provided a dependable, low-maintenance data flow that led to improved customer interactions, reduced churn, and expanded subscriptions.
