Prolific, a research platform that connects researchers with study participants, faced a critical challenge when launching a new Sales team: reps needed customer and product-usage data inside their CRM to sell effectively. To solve this, Prolific turned to Census to sync product usage and segmentation into HubSpot (via a simple reverse ETL implementation), giving sales instant context for every interaction.
Census implemented a lightweight data sync from Prolific’s Amazon Redshift (with dbt models) into HubSpot and Pendo, enabling customer 360 views, automated sales workflows, and purchase-intent signals. The result: salespeople now see full customer histories in HubSpot, Prolific avoided building its own reverse ETL (saving significant time), and the team closed ten milestone deals within six weeks of adding this data—delivered by Census.
