How HOVER uses Census with Braze to drive proactive customer engagement

HOVER, a San Francisco–based property data platform, needed more reliable, real-time data to drive personalized customer outreach through Braze. Their existing approach relied on custom Airflow/Python pipelines that were slow to build and maintain and left business teams unable to self-serve — so they adopted Census to sync their Snowflake data into Braze and other tools.

By building a self-serve stack with dbt, Snowflake, and Census, HOVER was able to push new attributes into Braze in under a day during Hurricane Ida, nearly double monthly sales meetings by combining sales and product usage data, and retire brittle custom integration code — freeing Marketing and Data teams to focus on strategy. Census’s integration also let HOVER connect Braze without writing Python, delivering faster campaigns, better upsell targeting, and measurable growth.
