Credit Union 1 is a member-owned financial institution founded in 1958 with 23 branches and nearly 100,000 members. As the organization grew, its talent team struggled to attract and retain qualified candidates because of an outdated, fragmented ATS and an overly complicated application process that caused high applicant drop-off.
CareerBuilder implemented Applicant Tracking—integrated with Credit Union 1’s existing Job Postings and Resume Database Pro—to streamline hiring. The new system simplified applications, mined and imported relevant resumes, and enabled searchable candidate files, resulting in a 65% year‑over‑year increase in applications, 3,313 applications in the first six months (nearly double the prior period), reduced drop-off, a stronger candidate pipeline, and a weekly time savings of 8–10 hours.
