Whitby Seafoods, the UK’s largest scampi manufacturer, wanted to calculate and reduce its climate impact as part of its commitment to sustainability. To achieve this climate transparency, they partnered with the vendor CarbonCloud and used its climate intelligence platform.

CarbonCloud's solution involved mapping Whitby Seafoods' entire scampi supply chain on its platform to calculate emissions at every stage. The results provided unprecedented insights, revealing that the vast majority of emissions came from the production of the seafood itself, with less than 2% from transport. These insights allow Whitby Seafoods to make data-driven decisions to reduce its carbon footprint and work with suppliers.
