Dole Sunshine Company, a global fruit producer, faced the significant challenge of measuring the climate footprint of its many products. The traditional method of conducting life cycle assessments was too slow, taking months for a single product, which hindered its ability to meet its ambitious sustainability targets. CarbonCloud implemented its automated software, which uses machine learning and a sophisticated food emissions database to rapidly calculate product-level climate footprints. The solution provided DSC with granular insights into emissions from transportation, packaging, and agriculture. The measurable result was the calculation of climate footprints for 50 products in just one month, a process that would have otherwise taken several years, enabling DSC to efficiently work towards its net zero goals.
