Central London Community Healthcare NHS Trust (CLCH) needed to deliver major savings and build a stronger procurement strategy with very limited resources, while also improving visibility and control over spend and contracts. To support care for more than 2 million people, CLCH turned to Capita and its procurement service to help create a function that could meet NHS standards and better support frontline healthcare delivery.

Capita implemented a managed procurement service and an eight-month transformation programme covering strategy, governance, contract management, analytics, training, and service quality. The results included more than £25m in identified savings, over £20m delivered to date, a 19% increase in customer satisfaction, and more than £1.4m in multi-Trust savings through North West London STP collaboration.
