West Berkshire Council needed a better way to record, track, and share information about young people so it could identify issues earlier and provide more effective support. The council chose Capita’s Integrated Youth Support Services solution (IYSS) to complement its existing Capita systems and improve the visibility of each young person’s circumstances.
Capita implemented IYSS quickly and seamlessly, with the council using it for statutory returns, monthly CCIS reporting, and other surveys soon after go-live. The integrated data and reporting tools gave staff real-time insight into attendance and other key indicators, reduced duplicate data entry, and helped them intervene faster—sometimes within a week of a young person disengaging—supporting better-targeted help and more positive outcomes.
