Your Homes Newcastle, one of the largest property management organisations in the North East, faced a surge in damp and mould reports from tenants and needed to respond faster to protect tenant health and meet zero-tolerance expectations. With almost 100 calls a week and a growing backlog of inspections, it turned to Capita for additional surveying support and help managing appointments.

Capita mobilised a four-surveyor team, worked directly with tenants to schedule visits, and integrated its booking process with Your Homes Newcastle’s online system to speed up real-time calendar planning. The partnership cleared the backlog and improved response times, with Capita inspecting and reporting on over 100 affected homes in the first full month and almost doubling that in the second.
