Case Study: Bournemouth Borough Council measures family outcomes with Capita One eStart

Targeting services to support families in the greatest need

Bournemouth Borough Council, a local authority in the UK, needed a comprehensive picture of the families and children using services and activities across its seven children’s centres, along with a way to understand which interventions were most effective. The council worked with Capita One using its eStart solution to record, manage and analyse participation, outcomes and service provision.

With Capita One eStart, Bournemouth Borough Council was able to link activities to outcomes, monitor targeted and universal services, and produce richer reports for safeguarding, Ofsted and multi-agency working. The results included better evidence of service impact, improved ability to guide delivery, and measurable success such as 95% of mums reporting that the breast pump loan scheme helped them sustain breastfeeding.
