Suffolk Coastal District Council go mobile with Building Works for Council Tax

Suffolk Coastal District Council, working with Capita One, wanted a better way to manage Council Tax building works after relying on spreadsheets that were time-consuming, hard to keep in sync with the main Council Tax system, and difficult to use for getting an overall view of works in progress. The council also needed a more integrated approach for visiting officers handling building works inspections alongside ordinary Council Tax visits.

Capita One provided the Building Works module for its mobile Revenues solution, allowing officers to manage visits in the field and synchronise updates directly back to the Council Tax system. The result was a much slicker and more efficient process, with easier route planning, no spreadsheet maintenance, elimination of duplicate data entry, and faster creation of new Council Tax properties from building works records.
