Stockton-on-Tees to save £100,000pa by consolidating children and families information

Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council worked with Capita One to improve integration between its computer systems and make it easier to share information across children’s services. As part of a wider transformation, the council needed a better way for social workers and related teams to access secure, up-to-date information while on the move.

Capita One implemented its Social Care solution, alongside its Youth solution to replace existing youth and youth offending systems. The change is expected to save Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council around £100,000 a year in IT maintenance and support costs, while also giving practitioners faster access to family and school information and reducing administration by around 10 hours per week.
