Southend-on-Sea Borough Council Improving young people’s lives

Southend-on-Sea Borough Council worked with Capita One to address the challenge of simplifying data sharing across multiple teams supporting young people and their families. The council needed a way to bring together information from different services so staff could build a clearer picture of each young person’s circumstances and risks.

Capita One implemented its One Youth solution, which lets authorised users view school data, team notes, interventions and risk flags in one place. This improved collaboration and decision-making, helping staff identify concerns earlier, target support more effectively, and better manage risks such as anti-social behaviour, child sexual exploitation, and missing-from-home cases.
