Providing greater workflow flexibility for children services teams at Essex County Council

Essex County Council worked with Capita One to support flexible working across children’s services and move toward a single electronic record for each child, from birth through adulthood. The council needed to bring together information from multiple teams and data sources into one place to deliver a more joined-up service for families.

Capita One provided its Hosted solution, fully managed in a secure environment so staff could access the system from any internet-connected PC, including outside the council network. The results included a 50%+ reduction in reliance on spreadsheets and other individual data sources within one year, and a 500-person increase in staff able to access Capita One over two years, helping Essex County Council progress toward its single-record goal.
