Improving server performance at South Dorset Partnership

South Dorset Partnership, formed from West Dorset District Council, Weymouth and Portland Borough Council, and Purbeck Council, needed to improve performance across its revenues and benefits systems as ageing servers began to struggle with overnight processing, limited storage, and growing security and reliability risks. The partnership turned to Capita One and its technical services team for server migration and technical consultancy support.

Capita One assessed the existing server environment, produced technical recommendations, and managed the migration and installation of refreshed, fully configured servers, with upgrades scheduled out of office hours where possible to avoid disruption. The result was a successful, efficient migration with no interruption to day-to-day work, and South Dorset Partnership reported a significant improvement in system performance and the ability to continue delivering high customer service levels into the future.
