Hanover selects OPENFinancials from Capita

Hanover, a not-for-profit provider of rented and leasehold retirement housing across the UK, wanted to consolidate finance departments that were operating across different sites. Before the change, staff spent too much time moving data between spreadsheets and accounting packages, and senior management lacked real-time financial information. Hanover used Capita One’s Housing software, including OPENFinancials and eFinance, to modernize its financial processes.

Capita One helped Hanover centralize financial recording, standardize procedures, and improve procurement and reporting. The result was a 10-day reduction in producing the monthly reporting pack, faster supplier payments, better budget control and contractor oversight, and increased financial transparency. Hanover also avoided investing in unauthorised invoice technology and plans to extend the system further with invoice scanning and automated capture.
