Gas Safe Register, the UK scheme replacing CORGI Gas Register, needed a secure and convenient way for registered gas engineers to pay while registering or renewing, either online or over the phone. Capita One provided the payment capability using Capita’s Payment Management products, including browser-based MOTO processing and an online payment portal, all under tight launch deadlines.

Capita One implemented a managed, hosted payment solution with Capita’s Paye.net, Payment Portal, Direct Debits option, Refunds and Reporting, and Secure Bureau Service. The result was a fast rollout and strong uptake: by the end of August 2009, more than 130,000 payments worth almost £12.5 million had been processed, with around 68% taken online and 25% via the contact centre.
