Case Study: Worcestershire County Council achieves integrated children’s services management with Capita One eStart

A Capita One Case Study

Preview of the Worcestershire County Council Case Study

Delivering Integrated Services For Children’s Centres

Worcestershire County Council was transforming its Sure Start programmes into multi-disciplinary Children’s Centres and needed a consistent way to gather, share, and report client information across agencies. The council wanted better access to timely data to support individualized services, government reporting, and a more coordinated approach to children’s services, while addressing concerns around data protection and moving away from anonymous, duplicate-counted records.

Capita One, through its One eStart information tracking and management module, provided Worcestershire County Council with a web-based, scalable monitoring system that supported migration from existing IT systems, mobile access, and data sharing across centres and partner agencies. The solution improved efficiency, reduced duplication, and helped the council monitor and evaluate services more effectively; it was rolled out from three centres in 2003 to county-wide use in 2006, with plans to expand from ten centres to twenty-five and integrate selected nurseries.
