Central Manchester University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust – easing income collection and increasing cash flow using Capita’s payment solutions

Central Manchester University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust introduced Capita One payment solutions to improve income collection and cash flow across its hospitals and departments. The Trust needed a faster, more secure way to accept payments from private patients and for other services, moving beyond manual, paper-heavy processes and stand-alone card terminals.

Capita One implemented Paye.net, Income Management and Secure Bureau Service to support card payments in person and over the phone, with secure handling of card data and automated reconciliation. In the first three months, the Trust received nearly 600 in-person card payments and almost 500 telephone card payments, while also reducing manual input, improving reporting, lowering PCI DSS risk, and cutting payment processing costs.
