Grand Union Housing Group (GUHG), a social housing provider managing more than 10,000 properties, needed a better way to handle time-consuming manual processes across tenancy management, complaints, and property turnaround. The group already used Capita One’s OPENHousing software and turned to Capita One’s Workflow solution to help streamline operations and reduce administration.
Capita One implemented Workflow to automate appointment scheduling, complaint communications, repairs coordination, and void property management. The results were significant: void times were cut by 70%, surveyor visits to empty properties dropped from four to one, average vacancy time fell by 27 days, and rental income increased by around £75,000 per year, alongside better customer service, improved communication, and greater process control.
