Capita realises efficiency savings at London Borough of Lambeth Council

Lambeth Council, a large and densely populated London borough, needed a better way to exchange bailiff case data with Equita. Before the project, information was sent by email and then manually keyed into both systems, creating delays, backlogs, and a risk of errors. Capita One provided the Council Tax and NDR Bailiff Interface to streamline this process.

Capita One’s automated interface reduced manual data entry and kept case information up to date between Lambeth Council and Equita, improving accuracy and speeding up recovery activity. The results included reconciliation time falling from 38 to 15 working days, a saving equivalent to three full-time staff, and fewer case referrals overall, with annual referrals dropping from 28,012 to 17,840.
