Maryville University, a fast-growing private university in St. Louis, partnered with Capacity to better support its expanding student population and reduce the burden on staff. As online enrollment increased, the university needed a more efficient way to answer repetitive student questions, streamline advisor workflows, and help identify students who might be at risk of dropping out.
Capacity implemented its digital employee, Max, to automate common inquiries on the orientation site, such as contact and syllabus questions, while also supporting more advanced workflow automation and student-retention outreach. In the first week alone, Max answered 40 student questions with a 2.7-second response time, and Capacity is helping Maryville proactively intervene with emails, texts, and advisor notifications to keep students on track from orientation through graduation.
