Fossil Group, a global fashion and lifestyle accessories company, needed to shorten time-to-hire, put personality front and center, and improve the candidate experience across its European recruiting operations. Traditional phone screenings were too slow and didn’t reveal enough about candidates’ soft skills, especially for retail roles where motivation and customer interaction matter most. Fossil turned to Cammio’s video recruiting platform to make first-round assessments faster and more personal.
Using Cammio, Fossil rolled out automated pre-recorded video interviews across Europe for both retail and office roles, replacing phone screenings and giving store managers more autonomy with standardized but customizable interview templates. The result was a faster, more flexible hiring process with no need to schedule live interviews, stronger early assessment of motivation and personality, improved shortlisting, and easier cross-border collaboration, including with HQ teams in the US. For some seasonal roles, video even replaced CVs entirely, and candidate feedback was overwhelmingly positive.
