Huang - Customer Case Study

Pegatron, a Taipei-based electronics manufacturer that designs and builds motherboards, notebooks, tablets and servers, faced growing pressure from customers who now required 100% routed and tuned PCBs. Sky Huang’s CAE team was spending up to 50 hours on some server boards—manually routing complex BGAs with thousands of pins—which limited throughput and tied up multiple engineers per project.

The team worked with Cadence to adopt Allegro PCB Designer’s High‑Speed Auto Interactive Delay Tuning (AiDT) and Timing Vision features to automate routing and delay tuning. The change cut routing time by roughly 67% and reduced engineering resources for routing/tuning by about 75% (often leaving one engineer to handle a job), freed capacity for new projects, reduced errors through 300+ in‑house utilities, and increased customer satisfaction.
