Raiffeisen, a leading retail bank in Switzerland, faced challenges with its aging JSP-based user interface for its core loan processing application. The outdated system was causing problems and posed a future risk to this essential part of their business. They needed a modern, efficient GUI to ensure smooth operations without altering their existing backend business logic. They engaged BSI Business Systems Integration AG and chose to use the Eclipse Scout framework for the modernization.

BSI implemented a new user interface for loan processing using Eclipse Scout within a four-month, fixed-price project. The solution provided a modern client that perfectly mirrored the old layout for user familiarity and accessed the unchanged backend via a new REST interface. The project was a major success, being deemed a "showcase project" by Raiffeisen, and was rolled out to 330 banks in record time. The collaboration with BSI enabled Raiffeisen to gain independence for future maintenance and development while securing a solid, long-term technological foundation for their core banking services.
