Seeking standardization, scalability and better reliability, the agency engaged BroadSoft and its BroadSoft BroadWorks private cloud communications platform (including BroadSoft UC-One) to replace the fragmented legacy environment.
BroadSoft implemented a carrier-grade BroadWorks private cloud using the agency’s data centers and MPLS network, consolidating voice services, reducing telco trunking and adding unified communications and mobility. The BroadSoft solution now handles about 6.5 million calls per month, cut direct costs by over $4 million annually, centralized administration into a single managed service desk, improved call handling and collaboration, and enabled easy expansion of services to sister agencies.
