Case Study: National Health Service (NHS) achieves rapid upskilling and standardized, measurable clinical training with Bridge LMS

A Bridge Case Study

Preview of the National Health Service (NHS) Case Study

NHS has been heavily focused on helping recently qualified doctors become fast tracked in their training in order to more quickly join the fight against COVID19 at UK hospitals

The NHS, the United Kingdom’s publicly funded healthcare system, faced urgent training challenges when COVID‑19 hit. With recently qualified doctors fast‑tracked into clinical roles, Chris Christou and the L&D team needed to supplement limited face‑to‑face training with easy‑to‑use online learning, speed up and measure employee learning, and cross‑train different healthcare professionals—all without a dedicated IT department.

They deployed the Bridge Learning Management System to rapidly create, administer and standardize COVID‑19 training. The platform’s simplicity let the team roll out courses quickly, resulting in faster upskilling of frontline doctors, measurable improvements in on‑the‑ground performance and patient care, a single standardized course used by 60 doctors across 26 hospitals, and easier administration through tools like masquerading.
