VGW, the online social games platform, wanted to increase customer loyalty and trust by launching charitable Standard Play tournaments and needed a way to reach players across devices. VGW partnered with Braze, using the Braze platform (including Braze Canvas) to orchestrate cross-channel outreach via email, SMS, in-app messages, and mobile and web push.
Using Braze, VGW implemented targeted, multi-step campaigns—emails to announce tournaments, Android and web push to bring users in, and in-app messages (with delay steps in Braze Canvas for follow-ups)—to drive sign-ups. The campaign raised US $7,500 for the Surfrider Foundation and increased active player participation by 8%, with VGW expecting continued high engagement from monthly tournaments.
