Splice Adds New Channels to Lift Conversions by 64X

Splice, a global music-creation platform, needed a more robust communications strategy to move legacy “Sounds” plan users to new subscriptions and convert trialists to paid customers after single-channel email campaigns underperformed. To reach users on the channels where they actually engage, Splice turned to Braze for a cross-channel messaging solution using tools like Canvas, in-app messaging (IAM), Content Cards, and Braze Currents.

Using Braze, Splice tested IAM overlays and Content Cards, streamed data via Currents to Segment and Looker, and iterated on message variants to improve targeting and personalization. The results were dramatic: IAM drove an average conversion rate 64X higher than email, legacy-user migrations rose 114%, and Content Cards boosted trial-to-paid conversions by 11%, demonstrating Braze’s impact on Splice’s engagement and subscription growth.
