PureGym, the UK’s largest gym chain with nearly 300 sites and 1.1 million members, needed a faster, more relevant way to notify members about gym closures, refurbishments and schedule changes while reducing customer service workload. To address this, PureGym partnered with Braze (using Braze Email and the Braze API) and ConsultMyApp to improve timeliness and targeting of member communications.
ConsultMyApp built a Gym Communications Manager that integrates with the Braze API, using 20+ API-triggered Braze Email templates and dynamic segmentation by gym, activity and member type so Member Services can quickly send targeted messages. The Braze-driven solution delivered a 55% email open rate across 129,635 unique recipients, improved message relevance and timeliness, and reduced CRM and customer service complexity.
