PureGym Boosts Conversions 206% with Braze-Powered Cross-Channel Campaigns

PureGym, the United Kingdom’s largest gym chain with nearly 300 locations, faced high membership churn and wanted to re-engage former members to boost re-join rates. To address this, PureGym partnered with Braze (and Braze Alloys partner ConsultMyApp) and used Braze Canvas along with Braze Email and Braze SMS to deliver timely, personalized cross-channel messages.

Using Braze Canvas to build segmented journeys, run retargeting and combine email and SMS sends, the Braze-powered campaign optimized creative, frequency, and offers (via Connected Content) to reach more ex-members. The results: a 69% increase in email open rates, an 89% lift in email clickthrough rate, and a 206% higher conversion rate for users who received retargeting emails versus all recipients—while reducing time and cost by managing multichannel campaigns in one platform.
