NASCAR Sees 40% Conversion Rate For Rich Push Campaign Promoting Virtual Racing

NASCAR needed to keep fans engaged and raise awareness for the iRacing Pro Invitational Series after live racing was suspended during the COVID-19 pandemic. To promote the virtual racing events and drive traffic to the NASCAR app, NASCAR partnered with Braze and used Braze’s Mobile & Web Push rich push notifications.

Braze implemented image- and GIF-based rich push campaigns and targeted messaging to announce races and reminders; the campaign drove a 40% conversion rate, an Android open rate of 9% and an iOS open rate of 4%, with iOS opens increasing between February and April. Braze’s rich push approach helped NASCAR cut through the noise and keep fans engaged with virtual and upcoming live racing.
