iHeartRadio Australia faced the challenge of converting longtime radio listeners into active app users and boosting brand awareness among a target audience for KIIS 1065. To do this they partnered with Braze, using Mobile & Web Push and In-App & In-Browser Messaging (including News Feed Cards and IAMs) to weave traditional on-air promotions with digital touchpoints.
Braze helped iHeartRadio run a multi-channel “Cash, Cars, and Stars” contest that combined radio clues, in-app News Feed Cards/IAMs, push notifications, eDMs and in-person activations tied to unique app codes. The campaign drove a 17% rise in monthly active users, an 11% uplift in time spent listening, a 37% News Feed CTR, and the app reached its highest MAUs and unique listener numbers (over half a million MAUs) in August 2019.
