HappyFresh Drives 33% Purchase Rates by Putting Customers First

HappyFresh, a Jakarta-based online grocery delivery platform, faced massive COVID-19-driven demand that quickly filled delivery slots and caused many customers to abandon orders. To address this customer-first challenge without rebuilding infrastructure, HappyFresh turned to Braze and its Canvas customer-journey tools to build a rapid messaging solution.

Using Braze Canvas, HappyFresh built a two-day solution featuring a custom HTML/JavaScript in-app message (IAM) that let users one-click opt in for email and push updates about delivery availability. The Braze-powered journey ran for about three weeks, achieved a 43% email and push opt-in rate, and drove a 33% purchase rate from the updates.
