BALAAN, Korea’s largest luxury shopping platform, expanded from web to mobile but lacked the internal resources to personalize and automate customer messaging, leaving outreach feeling generic and sometimes intrusive. To solve this, BALAAN partnered with Braze and adopted Braze’s automation, personalization, and cross-channel messaging capabilities to scale mobile engagement.
Using Braze, BALAAN implemented automated, personalized campaigns — including a 200,000 KRW new-subscriber in-app discount, three targeted push-notification types for saved-cart and wishlist items, and webhook nudges for non-installers — to reach customers at the right moments. Braze’s solution drove measurable results: 1.5X growth in new subscriptions, 3X more clicks on messaging, and a 2.5X increase in conversions.
