A Bravely Case Study

Bravely helps BrainPOP extend HR capacity and support employee well-being through COVID-19 and beyond

BrainPOP, the online learning resource used by millions of students, educators, and parents, needed a way to support employees during the uncertainty of COVID-19 while also extending the capacity of its small HR team. As employee needs grew around career guidance, mental well-being, and manager conversations, BrainPOP looked for a more holistic, equitable support solution than traditional coaching or wellness tools alone.

BrainPOP implemented Bravely’s career coaching platform in September 2020 to give employees access to 1:1 support across professional, mental, and physical well-being. The results were strong: 28% of employees used Bravely within their first nine months, the share of employees reluctant to talk to managers about workplace challenges fell from 17% to 2%, and the number of employees identified as at risk dropped from 13% to 8% quarter over quarter. BrainPOP also reported more efficient HR conversations and strong employee adoption, with managers and leaders regularly pointing people to Bravely as a trusted resource.
