Brandwatch partnered with UWE Bristol’s MSc Digital Marketing programme to address a common challenge: students often learn theory but lack hands‑on experience with industry‑standard social listening tools, relying instead on limited free options. Course leader Tom Bowden‑Green introduced Brandwatch For Classrooms to ensure students gain workplace‑relevant skills.
Students learn to build and refine queries, apply filters, visualize data, and experiment with results, then use those insights in assessed portfolios and group pitches. The outcome: students report deeper understanding and more focused research, produce actionable social media strategies, and are impressed by the platform’s scope and real‑world applicability.
