FOX Networks Group, a global broadcaster reaching over 2 billion households across 300+ channels, premiered the drama OUTCAST via Facebook Live simultaneously in 61 countries — the first broadcaster in Europe and Africa to do so. In a crowded, competitive content landscape, FOX needed to better understand and engage viewers, identify influential fans and measure the impact of the live premiere.
Working with Brandwatch Analytics, FOX captured and analyzed online conversation, identified influential and engaged viewers, and monitored its own channels in real time. The campaign drove a 250% increase in engagement on FOX-owned Facebook accounts during the stream, a 320% rise in positive sentiment on the FOX UK Facebook page, a peak in net page Likes, and produced audience insights and benchmarks to inform future programming.
