Bukalapak, a leading Southeast Asian online marketplace with over 1.2 million sellers and 40 million products, faced a conversion gap: their native mobile app converted six times better than mobile web. Over a three-month period they logged more than 500 million sessions, the vast majority on mobile, and needed a seamless way to move mobile web visitors into the app to boost revenue and conversions.
To solve this, Bukalapak integrated Branch and deployed Journeys Web-to-App — using a top banner and a floating CTA plus tailored campaigns for first-time and returning mobile web users. After testing and iterating via the Branch dashboard, daily app downloads increased 5x, and users acquired through Journeys were twice as likely to convert and complete a transaction.
