Case Study: Marlins Park achieves automated, secure plug-and-play network access at scale with Bradford Networks' Network Sentry

A Bradford Networks Case Study

Preview of the Marlins Park Case Study

Miami Marlins Ballpark Uses Bradford Networks to Deliver GameChanging Network Access Control Throughout the Venue

Marlins Park, the 37,400‑seat home of the Miami Marlins, faced a complex network challenge: thousands of diverse IP devices (ATMs, TVs, menu boards, POS terminals, security cameras, staff PCs) and transient media crews needed secure, flexible network access across more than 7,000 ports in a highly dynamic, multi‑use venue. The IT team had to allow broadcast and vendor equipment to plug in anywhere while blocking rogue devices and avoiding constant manual intervention.

Bradford Networks’ Network Sentry NAC provided an automated “plug‑in and go” solution that recognizes, registers and maps devices to the correct VLANs, gives media crews secure access at 500+ public ports, and instantly detects and blocks unauthorized devices. The result: full visibility and policy‑based control across the stadium, devices can be moved or added without IT assistance, and staffing to manage events dropped from several technicians to one, with plans to extend the system to Wi‑Fi and chargeback reporting.
