Isavia Builds a Stronger Cyber Fence around Iceland’s Airports with Help from Network Sentry

Isavia, Iceland’s national aviation authority based at Reykjavík Airport, needed tighter, scalable network security across its nationwide infrastructure as passenger traffic and connected devices grew. With operations spanning Keflavik International, 15 domestic airports, headquarters and remote sites, Isavia had to identify every device, limit access to authorized resources, block unauthorised connections at the port and reduce the burden of manual provisioning on IT staff.

Working with Khipu Networks, Isavia deployed Bradford Networks’ Network Sentry to deliver real‑time visibility and automated policy‑based access control. The solution identifies devices, enforces VLAN placement before connection, quarantines or blocks unauthorized equipment, and enables plug‑and‑play provisioning—improving oversight, enhancing airport security and significantly reducing administrative workload while paving the way to extend controls to wireless and BYOD.
