James M. Pleasants Company Moves Full-Steam Ahead with Microsoft Dynamics® AX and Create!form®

James M. Pleasants Company, a 1958-founded, employee-owned manufacturers’ representative with 15 offices across six Southeastern states, was migrating from a legacy mainframe to Microsoft Dynamics AX but faced costly, inflexible ERP document output. Customizing invoices, purchase orders and other transactional documents required heavy manual intervention and expensive programming, limiting the company’s ability to meet customer-specific requirements and scale operations.

The company implemented Bottomline Technologies’ PrecisionForms/Transform AP document automation integrated with Dynamics AX, using drag-and-drop report design and electronic workflows to automate routing, delivery and storage of transactional documents. The result: fast, low-cost transformation of AX output, elimination of manual invoicing tasks, easier on-the-fly changes to customer information, and a roadmap to further gains (for example barcode-enabled purchase orders) that reduce data entry and protect IT investments.
