A Bottomline Case Study
Greystone Healthcare Management, which operates 37 skilled nursing facilities plus home health, assisted living and hospice services in Florida and Ohio, faced a paper-heavy AP environment—managing more than 95 disbursing bank accounts across 44 properties and issuing roughly 1,500 checks per week to about 3,000 vendors. The manual process created fraud risk, high per‑payment and banking costs, and inefficient use of staff time; DIY and card-based alternatives were rejected as too complex or not cost-effective.
Greystone implemented Bottomline’s Paymode‑X electronic payment network to convert checks to ACH, outsource vendor enrollment, and centralize payment reporting and remittance delivery. The change eliminated the need to store vendor bank data, tightened payment security, reduced labor and bank fees, and automated over 26,000 payments—projecting more than $75,000 in savings—while improving reconciliation, reporting and earning rebates.
