Enlists Streamlined Financial Service for Military Families with Online Account Origination

First Command Financial Services — founded in 1958 to improve the financial well‑being of military families and operating First Command Bank — faced a cumbersome, paper‑based account opening process as client volumes grew. Advisors were filling out, faxing or emailing forms, creating delays, duplicated work and occasional errors, and the bank needed a secure, integrated online solution that advisors and clients could use remotely.

After an RFP the bank implemented Bottomline Technologies’ Online Account Opening for Consumers, which integrates with advisors’ CRMs and the bank’s core, pre‑populates data, and supports credit, debit and ACH funding. The new system delivers real‑time account numbers, cuts onboarding from two business days to about eight minutes, eliminated re‑keying, improved data protection, and drove a 35% increase in new accounts while freeing advisors to focus on client relationships.
